Billionaires be warned \u2015 Christine Baranski<\/a> had no problem giving Elon Musk a death stare<\/a> at the Met Gala, and she\u2019s certainly not going to keep quiet about Jeff Bezos-sponsored missions to space. <\/p>\n

The \u201cGilded Age\u201d actor slammed the Amazon<\/a> and Blue Origin founder\u2019s April all-female flight, which she called a \u201cgrotesque display of wealth\u201d while speaking on a panel about her HBO show at the ATX TV Festival on Monday. <\/p>\n

\u201cSending women into a spaceship for what? So they can do their makeup? What the fuck?\u201d Baranski asked, People magazine<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t get me started,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was with someone who was at my table, and I noticed Elon Musk and I went, \u2018Oh my God, it\u2019s Elon Musk,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cI basically said [to my friend], \u2018I don\u2019t know how you feel about him, but why is he spending billions of dollars in space when he could be cleaning up the planet?\u2019 I\u2019m an environmentalist.\u201d <\/p>\n

The crew for the Blue Origin mission Baranski referenced included Bezos\u2019 now-wife, Lauren Sanchez, journalist Gayle King, singer Katy Perry, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist and research scientist Amanda Nguy\u1ec5n and film producer Kerianne Flynn. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then my question is, \u2018Have y\u2019all been to space?\u2019\u201d the \u201cCBS Mornings\u201d journalist told Extra<\/a> back in April. \u201cGo to space, or go to Blue Origin and see what they do and how they do, and then come back and say, \u2018This is a terrible thing.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

Sanchez made similar comments<\/a> in an interview with People<\/a>, telling the magazine that she gets \u201creally fired up\u201d about the criticism. <\/p>\n
