{"id":837927,"date":"2026-09-06T01:22:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T01:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/837927\/"},"modified":"2026-09-06T01:22:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T01:22:10","slug":"2026-walker-cup-u-s-subs-in-william-jennings-for-sunday-morning-foursomes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/837927\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 Walker Cup: U.S. subs in William Jennings for Sunday morning foursomes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With his team holding a one-point lead in the 51st Walker Cup, GB&amp;I captain Dean Robertson is opting for a \u201crinse and repeat\u201d method when it comes to his foursomes strategy early Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Robertson is keeping Ben Bolton and Jack Whaley on the bench, while <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/ncaa\/news\/walker-cup-pairings-saturday-foursomes-will-include-preston-stout-ethan-fang-no-jack-whaley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">preserving the pairings as they were Saturday.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The lone difference is a switch of the order \u2014 and, by extension, their opponent. <\/p>\n<p>Sam Easterbrook and Luke Poulter will be slotted second, bumping Connor Graham and Tyler Weaver to face Miles Russell and Tyler Watts.<\/p>\n<p>It was<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/randa\/news\/team-gb-i-jumps-out-to-early-lead-over-u-s-at-walker-cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> the American teenagers who earned the U.S. its only full point<\/a> during Saturday foursomes, edging Easterbrook and Poulter on the 18th hole.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, Robertson has made the change in hopes a different matchup will bring him a better result.<\/p>\n<p>As for the red, white and blue, U.S. captain Nathan Smith is making one significant adjustment to his lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Smith is calling in William Jennings, and putting Josiah Gilbert on the bench with veteran Stewart Hagestad.<\/p>\n<p>Gilbert found himself<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/randa\/news\/saturday-singles-grehans-improbable-comeback-over-stout-powers-gb-i-lead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> 5 down to Eliot Baker at one point during his Saturday\u2019s singles match<\/a>, while failing to put anything on the board during foursomes play with Ryder Cowan earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the complete Sunday foursomes pairings and starting times (all times ET):<\/p>\n<p>3:05AM: Stuart Grehan\/Eliot Baker (GB&amp;I) vs. Preston Stout\/Ethan Fang (USA)3:20AM: Sam Easterbrook\/Luke Poulter (GB&amp;I) vs. Kihei Akina\/Jay Leng (USA)3:35AM: Connor Graham\/Tyler Weaver (GB&amp;I) vs. Miles Russell\/Tyler Watts (USA)3:50AM: Niall Sheils Donegan\/Josh Hill (GB&amp;I) vs. Ryder Cowan\/William Jennings (USA)<\/p>\n<p>Golf Channel will begin its live foursomes coverage at 3 a.m. ET Sunday. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/watch\/live\/walker-cup-final-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Singles competition is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. ET.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"Link\" aria-label=\"Walker Cup -
