LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) — A brush fire burning in the Lancaster area briefly prompted an evacuation warning for some residents Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the blaze, dubbed the Calvin Fire, at approximately 1:38 p.m.<\/p>\n

The fire scorched 75 acres as firefighters worked to contain its spread. No injuries or structures threatened were immediately reported.<\/p>\n

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, forward progress was stopped at 2:50 p.m. Crews said the fire held at 75 acres with 90% containment.<\/p>\n

An evacuation warning previously issued for zone LAC-E1639 was downgraded to an advisory.<\/p>\n

Residents are encouraged to check their evacuation status and determine whether they are in an affected area by visiting protect.genasys.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Fire crews remained at the scene.<\/p>\n
