After all, she is a five-time Wimbledon champion and four-time Olympic Gold Medal winner.<\/p>\n<p>There are some lesser-known names included, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/the-atp-player-who-won-the-same-elite-junior-event-as-roger-federer-has-been-given-a-wildcard-to-play-at-the-us-open\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">former Orange Bowl winner Nishesh Basavareddy<\/a> and American 2023 Wimbledon Girls\u2019 Singles title winner Clervie Ngounoue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-1548327077-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Clervie Ngounoue of United States with the Girl's Singles Trophy following victory in the Girl's Singles Final against Nikola Bartunkova of Czech Republic on day fourteen of The Championships Wimbledon 2023 at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on July 16, 2023 in London, England.\" \/>Photo by Mike Hewitt\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>One name in particular has attracted attention, given her status as one of the brightest young talents in tennis.<\/p>\n<p>After all, this player is the number one ranked ITF junior.<\/p>\n<p>Julieta Pareja receives a US Open wildcard<\/p>\n<p>Young American star Julieta Pareja has been handed an opportunity to make her mark at the <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/us-open\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">US Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 16-year-old prodigy, the number one ranked female junior ITF player, is currently ranked 341 in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Pareja first represented the US in 2024 at the Billie Jean King Cup, a few months after winning consecutive junior titles at the J100 Copa Ciudad and the J200 Copa Liga de Tenis de Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>The American also became the youngest winner of a SoCal Pro Series women\u2019s singles title, when capturing her first professional title at the 2024 W15 SoCal Pro Series event in\u00a0Rancho Santa Fe.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, after winning the J300 Lexus British Open in\u00a0Roehampton, the young American reached the final of the Wimbledon girls\u2019 singles and doubles junior events. Pareja also reached the quarter-finals of the same events at the 2024 French Open.<\/p>\n<p>She became the first player born in 2009 to compete in a WTA main draw and win a match after qualifying for the \u00a0Copa Colsanitas Open in Zurich, Switzerland. Pareja reached the semi-final stage of that tournament.<\/p>\n<p>By achieving this feat, Pareja became the youngest WTA Tour semi-finalist since\u00a0Coco Gauff\u00a0in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Her impending US Open first-round match will mark her first appearance in a Grand Slam main draw.<\/p>\n<p>Caroline Garcia is given a US Open wildcard<\/p>\n<p>Former world number four Caroline Garcia has been handed the opportunity to say her final goodbyes to the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>The French star registered her best Grand Slam performance at the US Open, reaching the semi-finals in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In May this year, Garcia announced her impending retirement from the sport.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJ_BQ4vss_8\/?utm_source=ig_embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Instagram<\/a>, she said: \u201cDear tennis, it\u2019s time to say goodbye.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter 15 years of competing at the highest level \u2013 and over 25 years of dedicating almost every second of my life to this sport \u2013 I feel ready to turn the page and open a new chapter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy journey hasn\u2019t always been easy. Since my inception, tennis has always represented much more than victories or defeats. It was love or hate. Joy or frustration. And through it all, I am deeply grateful for everything this adventure has offered me. For everything tennis has given me. My body \u2013 and my personal aspirations \u2013 are asking me this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat said, it ain\u2019t quite over yet. Still have a few tournaments to play. First one, at home, in Roland-Garros. My 14th consecutive participation \u2013 and last. So, to all my tennis family out there, let\u2019s get together one last time, to dream together, and fight once more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the next few days, I\u2019ll be taking some time to talk about what\u2019s coming.
