System Of A Down<\/a>\u00a0have announced a new 25th anniversary edition reissue of \u2018Toxicity\u2019, along with a merch capsule. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n

The band are currently celebrating the milestone anniversary of their second studio album, which was released on September 4, 2001.<\/p>\n

To commemorate the occasion, last week they unveiled an exclusive merch capsule, which includes\u00a0vinyl and CDs, T-shirts, skate decks, ashtrays, and more.<\/p>\n

The CD reissue features new cover artwork, as well as a correctly identified hidden track, which has previously been known to fans as \u2018Arto\u2019. Now, it\u2019s been titled \u2018Der Voghormia\u2019, after a traditional Armenian hymn.<\/p>\n

The vinyl reissue comes on a special colour edition along with a bonus 7\u201d containing the song \u2018Johnny\u2019, which has previously only been available on rare special editions of the album.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the merch collection includes a recreation of the 2001 album release party \u2013 which was famously shut down by police at the time \u2013 T-shirt given exclusively to attendees.<\/p>\n

There are also \u2018Chop Suey!\u2019 Chinese takeout earrings, a compact mirror and a series of new T-shirt and hoodie designs. You can find all the merch, vinyl and CDs here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

System Of A Down have not released a studio album since 2005\u2019s \u2018Hypnotize\u2019, and in 2024\u00a0Shavo Odadjian spoke to\u00a0NME<\/a>\u00a0about what it would take for the band to release new material. \u201cIf I knew, I\u2019d make it happen,\u201d he said. \u201cIf it happens, we\u2019ll all be at the right place, at the right time, in the right mood, at the right juncture in life.\u201d<\/p>\n

NME\u00a0gave a glowing five-star review<\/a>\u00a0of System Of A Down\u2019s recent gig at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, writing that the band \u201cultimately defy and redefine what stadium rock is and can be.\u201d<\/p>\n
