ATLANTA \u2014 Grady Health officials said some changes to how certain nursing hours are paid will change.<\/p>\n

In a statement shared with Channel 2 Action News, the health system said temporary block pay for certain positions that was increased due to staffing challenges will be ending in about a month.<\/p>\n

However, Grady administration emphasized that nurses\u2019 base pay will not be reduced or decreased.<\/p>\n

The company said \u201cstaff were informed at the time that this additional pay was temporary\u201d when it first started.<\/p>\n

Staff were given 30 days\u2019 notice of the change.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis adjustment comes as reductions in federal healthcare funding, including the expiration of enhanced federal subsidies, are creating significant financial pressures for health systems nationwide,\u201d a Grady Health spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The company said they remain committed to providing their patients with high-quality care while also supporting their workforce.<\/p>\n
