(7News) \u2014 Two drivers are facing charges after a fiery <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/fairfax-county-virginia-westbound-interstate-66-crash-gallows-road-dunn-loring-merrifield-metro-station-capital-beltway-traffic-delays-lanes-blocked-developing-story-sunday-afternoon-fatal-accident-collison-tanker-truck-suv-dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sunday crash<\/a> killed three people on I-66 in Fairfax, according to Virginia State Police (VSP).<\/p>\n<p>At 4:10 p.m. in the westbound<a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/topic\/I-66\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> I-66<\/a> Express Lanes at mile marker 64.3, a Honda Pilot rammed into the back of a truck that was stopped in the right travel lane. The truck was carrying oxygen tanks.<\/p>\n<p>The Honda erupted in flames and all three people inside the car died.<\/p>\n<p>PREVIOUS | <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/fairfax-county-virginia-westbound-interstate-66-crash-gallows-road-dunn-loring-merrifield-metro-station-capital-beltway-traffic-delays-lanes-blocked-developing-story-sunday-afternoon-fatal-accident-collison-tanker-truck-suv-dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fatal crash causes major delays on I-66 near Dunn Loring<\/a><\/p>\n<p>VSP&#8217;s early investigation revealed a Toyota 4Runner was also involved in what led up to the crash. After talking with the Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney\u2019s Office, the Toyota driver and truck driver were charged with reckless driving. <\/p>\n<p>7News spoke with Aspen Fetty, who saw the fireball erupt from the deadly crash. <\/p>\n<p>SEE ALSO | <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/maryland-tolls-unpaid-debt-818-millions-transportation-authority-mdta-audit-report-virginia-drivers-pennsylvania-new-jersey-penalties-dmv-fines-collection-agencies-traffic-roads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Out-of-state drivers owe Maryland $818M in unpaid tolls and penalties<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That was by far the most devastating thing I&#8217;ve ever witnessed,&#8221; Fetty said.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic was jammed for hours on Sunday as multiple lanes and all express lanes of westbound I-66 were closed due to the crash.<\/p>\n<p>All lanes were officially reopened  just before 11 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FAIRFAX, Va.
