Although comments were restricted, users across the political spectrum quoted the post to voice their displeasure.<\/p>\n Many pointed to rising living costs<\/a> across the U.S., contrasting them with the carefree lifestyle on display in the clip.<\/p>\n \u201cAmericans: We can\u2019t afford gas, food or tuition,\u201d GOP podcaster Melissa Witte wrote. \u201cTrump Family: here\u2019s a video of Kai\u2019s luxury dorm, Ivanka riding a horse and we\u2019re also gonna rename both New Mexico and Lake Ontario \u2018America.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n California Governor Gavin Newsom<\/a> and MAGA journalist Eric Spracklen both highlighted that gasoline has surged in cost amid the ongoing Iran war.<\/p>\n \u201cReal \u2018Let them eat cake\u2019 energy here,\u201d wrote another user, while yet another questioned: \u201cIs she racing to her nuclear bunker?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe turned off the replies. Of course she did. The corrupt Trump family is so out of touch with ordinary Americans,\u201d the X account Republicans Against Trump added.<\/p>\n Trump has long faced accusations that he and his family have profited off the presidency. In his first year back in office, his personal income soared to $2.2 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal<\/a>. \u201cI’m profiting because the stock market is going up. Everybody is profiting,\u201d the 80-year-old president told reporters in July.<\/p>\n Compared to her father\u2019s first term, Ivanka Trump has largely shied away from politics. She and her husband, Jared Kushner, recently paid $1.4 billion for an island off Albania<\/a>, which they plan to turn into a luxury resort.
