Convergint has acquired Surveillance Systems Incorporated (SSI), a provider of integrated surveillance and security solutions for the gaming industry, marking Convergint\u2019s entry into the gaming security market.<\/p>\n
The acquisition gives Convergint an established presence in a specialized and regulated market while adding SSI\u2019s experience working with gaming operators and complex surveillance environments.<\/p>\n
Las Vegas-based SSI brings more than two decades of experience in the gaming sector, along with customer relationships and expertise in surveillance and integrated security. Convergint said it plans to combine that market knowledge with its broader systems integration capabilities, service organization and global resources.<\/p>\n
\u201cGaming represents a significant growth opportunity for Convergint, and SSI provides the expertise, relationships, and market knowledge to establish a strong foundation in this market,\u201d said Sean Flint, president of Convergint.<\/p>\n
Flint said the companies see an opportunity to build a gaming-focused practice by combining SSI\u2019s existing capabilities with Convergint\u2019s scale and resources, supporting growth in North America and internationally.<\/p>\n
SSI customers are expected to gain access to Convergint\u2019s broader service organization and global capabilities. Convergint, meanwhile, will add SSI\u2019s experience addressing surveillance and integrated security requirements within gaming environments.<\/p>\n
