{"id":842553,"date":"2026-09-10T04:54:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T04:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/842553\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T04:54:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T04:54:15","slug":"whales-and-surfers-enjoy-september-heat-at-bodega-bay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/842553\/","title":{"rendered":"Whales and surfers enjoy September heat at Bodega Bay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Multiple humpback whales were spotted feeding and spouting off the Sonoma Coast Tuesday, Sept. 8, putting on a show for visitors who took to the water to enjoy the late summer heat.<\/p>\n<p>The whale sightings off Wrights Beach north of Bodega Bay come as the North Bay experiences some of the warmest temperatures of the year this week, prompting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/2026\/09\/09\/bay-area-heat-wave-hits-peak-sizzling-temperatures-dangerous-waves-dirty-air\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a heat advisory<\/a> originally scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Wednesday to instead go into effect about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
