\n\tTaylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s return to country music<\/a> continues to be celebrated with open arms. The pop superstar has earned a Country Music Association Awards nomination<\/a> for Single of the Year for her 2026 release \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \n\tIt marks Swift\u2019s first CMA nomination since 2022, when she earned a nod in the Video of the Year Category for her collaboration with Chris Stapleton, \u201cI Bet You Think About Me.\u201d Swift hasn\u2019t won a CMA Award since 2017 when she took home Song of the Year as a songwriter for Little Big Town\u2019s \u201cBetter Man.\u201d (She later released her own version of the song on Red (Taylor\u2019s Version) in 2022.) She also hasn\u2019t been recognized in the Single of the Year category since 2013 when she was nominated for her collaboration with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban, \u201cHighway Don\u2019t Care\u201d \u2014 13 years ago.<\/p>\n \n\tThe superstar will go up against big country music singles in the Single of the Year category like Ella Langley\u2019s unstoppable hit \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d<\/a> and the rising star\u2019s latest release \u201cBe Her.\u201d The category is rounded out by Lainey Wilson for \u201cSomewhere Over Laredo\u201d and Cody Johnson for \u201cThe Fall.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tSwift released \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d in June as part of the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. Since then, it\u2019s become a historic hit on country radio<\/a>, and beyond. It topped the Hot Country Songs chart, reached Number Eight on the Country Airplay chart, and hit Number One on the Billboard Hot 100.
