Delta Airlines flight runs into trouble over Washington coast<\/p>\n

LONG BEACH \u2014 A commercial flight from Sea-Tac to Honolulu, Hawaii appears to have experienced an in-air emergency as it flew toward the Washington coastline. <\/p>\n
It appears to have made it safely back to Seattle.<\/p>\n
Delta Airlines Flight 419 (DAL419) did multiple passes over Pacific County and the Long Beach Peninsula below 10,000 feet. A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft was apparently scrambled to the area and also flew low over the peninsula \u2014 its elevation was clocked at around 5,000 feet a few minutes after passing over the Ocean Park area, according to live flight tracking data.<\/p>\n
\u201cGeez, just had some kind of jet fly right over our house,\u201d Chinook Observer reporter Brandon Cline said at 6:49 p.m. regarding the C-17.<\/p>\n
Multiple witnesses have reached out with reports of the lower-than-normal flight passing overhead.<\/p>\n
There is no official word yet on what occurred. The flight was moving toward Sea-Tac airport according to the FlightRadar24 app.<\/p>\n
