{"id":844421,"date":"2026-09-11T18:52:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T18:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/844421\/"},"modified":"2026-09-11T18:52:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T18:52:13","slug":"nokia-launches-ai-edge-computing-platform-for-mining-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/844421\/","title":{"rendered":"Nokia Launches AI Edge Computing Platform For Mining Sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Edge hardware and ecosystem partnerships<\/p>\n<p>The platform&#8217;s edge component, the Cognitive Edge Node (CEN), is a rugged network and edge compute platform combining advanced connectivity, AI-driven multi-access networking and accelerated edge computing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Embedded on-device Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)-accelerated computing increases intelligence in field-deployed vehicles and remote locations, allowing decisions to be made locally rather than waiting on a distant data centre.<\/p>\n<p>Nokia has designed the CEN with an ecosystem of partners in mind, integrating third-party technologies to extend its capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Key elements of that ecosystem include:<\/p>\n<p>\tOn-premises deployment using local IT infrastructure, for operators who need to keep processing on site<br \/>\n\tCloud-hosted deployment through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, enabling faster rollout<br \/>\n\tIntegration of Rajant&#8217;s InstaMesh technology, built on its Kinetic Mesh wireless networking approach<br \/>\n\tAI-agentic assistance layered across communications and compute functions<br \/>\n\tA live 3D digital twin providing a continuous, unified operational picture<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This launch is a defining step in Nokia&#8217;s promise to deliver connected intelligence. It implements a defence-in-depth cybersecurity architecture spanning hardware, operating system, networking, applications and operations.
