Retired NASCAR driver\u2019s North Carolina home broken into, 2 arrested, deputies say<\/p>\n

Two arrests have been made after the home of a retired NASCAR driver’s in North Carolina was broken into, according to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office. <\/p>\n

Authorities said retired Cup Series driver and team owner David Marcis’ home in Arden was broken into on Aug. 28, 2026, and several items were stolen. <\/p>\n

During the investigation, authorities said they arrested Hailey Bowlin and Cameron Samotis in connection with the burglary. <\/p>\n

Bowlin is charged with Second-Degree Burglary, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Larceny of a Firearm, Larceny After Breaking and Entering, and five counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. <\/p>\n

Samotis is charged with Second-Degree Burglary.<\/p>\n

Both are being held at the Henderson County Detention Center. <\/p>\n
