Private Medical is entering Connecticut with a Greenwich office serving no more than 100 patients per physician.<\/p>\n
A national concierge primary care practice with annual memberships starting at $45,000 for adults will open its first Connecticut office in Greenwich on Oct. 1.<\/p>\n
Private Medical announced that its seventh location nationwide will occupy roughly 3,000 square feet at 50 Old Field Point Road in Greenwich. Dr. Tiago Miguel will launch the practice with an on-site clinical and administrative team.<\/p>\n
Founded in San Francisco in 2002 by Dr. Jordan Shlain, Private Medical also operates offices in Beverly Hills, Miami, New York City, Santa Monica and Silicon Valley. Its model limits each physician\u2019s practice to 100 patients or fewer.<\/p>\n
Membership includes annual health assessments, primary and preventive care, direct access to a physician, assistance coordinating outside medical services and support while traveling.<\/p>\n
The company said it does not bill its membership fees to insurance. Members generally maintain health insurance to cover services such as laboratory testing, imaging, medical procedures and specialist care, the company said. Its physicians can refer patients to a network of more than 4,000 doctors and specialists in 200 cities worldwide, according to the company.<\/p>\n
Private Medical said it selected Greenwich because its Manhattan office already serves patients from the area, including executives and families connected to the investment and financial services industries.<\/p>\n
