{"id":844995,"date":"2026-09-12T06:34:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T06:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/844995\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T06:34:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T06:34:13","slug":"hot-down-the-stretch-in-germany-michael-la-sasso-qualifies-at-first-stage-dpwt-q-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/844995\/","title":{"rendered":"Hot down the stretch in Germany, Michael La Sasso qualifies at first-stage DPWT Q-school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dramatic finishes seem to be following Michael La Sasso wherever he goes this summer.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks after his <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/news\/news\/michael-la-sasso-wins-liv-finale-for-this-season-and-likely-liv-as-we-know-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">career breakthrough win at the LIV season finale in Indianapolis<\/a> where he bested Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, the 22-year-old shot a final round 5-under 67 on Friday at Golf-und Country Club Seddiner See in Michendorf, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>It was good enough for the 2025 NCAA individual champion to qualify on the number at <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/dp-world-tour\/news\/michael-la-sasso-among-liv-players-entered-in-first-stage-of-dp-world-tour-q-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">DP World Tour first-stage Qualifying School<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All of it was in jeopardy after a costly bogey on the par-3 11th hole though. <\/p>\n<p>La Sasso followed that up with a par on No. 12 and then birdied four of his six last holes to get to T-18 for the tournament. <\/p>\n<p>Fellow LIV players Josele Ballester, Luis Masaveu and Yosuke Asaji also made it through first stage.<\/p>\n<p>The first stage of <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europeantour.com\/dpworld-tour\/qschool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">DP World Tour Q School<\/a> continues next weekend with events at Dunham Forest Golf and Country Club in Altrincham, England, and Arlandastad Golf (Masters Course), in Rosersberg, Sweden.<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"Link\" aria-label=\"Michael La Sasso among LIV players entered in first stage of DP World Tour Q-School\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/dp-world-tour\/news\/michael-la-sasso-among-liv-players-entered-in-first-stage-of-dp-world-tour-q-school\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"Image\" alt=\"LIV Golf Indianapolis - Day Four\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1789194853_74_.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After winning LIV\u2019s season finale in Indianapolis, La Sasso is among five LIV players who have entered the first stage of DP World Tour Q-School.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dramatic finishes seem to be following Michael La Sasso wherever he goes this summer.
