The mainline Monster Hunter series will debut on the Switch 2 this December with the release of the new entry Monster Hunter Wilds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, during the Japanese Direct this week<\/a>, Nintendo (and Capcom) announced hunters in this location will be able to pick up not only the game on 4th December 2026, but also a brand-new Switch 2 bundle.<\/p>\n

This bundle will include a standard Switch 2 unit and Joy-Con 2 controller, as well as a digital copy of the game and a three-month Switch Online subscription to join other hunters online.<\/p>\n

Reservations for the Monster Hunter bundle are currently being accepted on the Nintendo Store in Japan for 61,980 yen.<\/p>\n

If there is any news about this Switch 2 Monster Hunter bundle getting a release outside of this region, we’ll provide an update.<\/p>\n

Capcom has also confirmed this week that the Monster Hunter Wilds’ Switch 2 local retail release is a ‘Game-Key Card’, available for $39.99. At launch, the digital version will be available for the special discounted price of $29.99.<\/p>\n

Hunters can also look forward to the game’s “massive” new expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance<\/a>, which is arriving on the Switch 2 in 2027.<\/p>\n
