Marty Whims II is the winner of Akron\u2019s Offensive Coordinator of the Game promotion. He spent the week designing a 20-play script alongside Zips head coach Joe Moorhead and will hold the reins to begin today\u2019s game, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nick Saban had some advice for Whims on this morning\u2019s “College GameDay” broadcast:<\/p>\n

Despite the victory, the Wolverines fell out of the AP Top 25 poll.\u00a0<\/p>\n Bryce Underwood went 12-of-22 for 170 yards, a touchdown and an interception, along with 47 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. If Underwood doesn\u2019t prove himself to Kyle Whittingham, we might see some reps with Carr under center.<\/p>\n 3. Memphis-Boise State winner could be early frontrunner for the Group of Six\u2019s playoff spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n Memphis has already knocked off UNLV 27-21 in Week 0, while Boise State is looking to bounce back after barely falling to No. 6 Oregon, 34-27.<\/p>\n The winner of today’s showdown could have an early lead on the Group of Six bid, with the loser falling behind the sticks.
