After six weeks in the top spot, and nearly being dethroned by \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d last weekend, Sony\u2019s \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d has finally left the box-office top spot.<\/p>\n

The Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman-led mystical sequel \u201cPractical Magic 2\u201d has become No.1 with the film pulling in $13 million on Friday and a $30 million total for the weekend domestically.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s notably up on the $13 million the original 1998 film opened to, that film famously bombed at the time but subsequently achieved cult classic status after it was released on home video.<\/p>\n

Both it and the Andrew Garfield-led \u201cThe Uprising\u201d arrived this weekend, with that movie not faring so well at just $1.38 million on Friday and $3.1 million estimated for the weekend, debuting in ninth place.<\/p>\n

The Gal Gadot-led \u201cRunner\u201d is in second with an estimated $2.5 million on Friday and $6 million over the three-day period.<\/p>\n

Christopher Nolan\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d came in third place on Friday with $2.06 million and is expected to hit $8.1 million by Sunday. Domestically, it\u2019s up to $601 million and worldwide it now stands at $1.68 billion \u2013 making it the highest-grossing film in the history of Universal Pictures.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d may have fallen to fourth on Friday, but it\u2019s still strong with $2 million for the day ahead of an expected $8.5 million by Sunday. If that estimate holds, its domestic total will be $935.27 million, pushing it past \u201cStar Wars: The Force Awakens\u201d to be the biggest domestic-grossing film of all time.<\/p>\n

\u201cCoyote vs. Acme\u201d came in fifth, with the title pulling in an estimated $6.3 million for the weekend, which will bring its domestic total to $47.8 million through three weekends.<\/p>\n
