The series,\u00a0from creator, writer, and executive producer <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/bill-dubuque\/\" id=\"auto-tag_bill-dubuque\" data-tag=\"bill-dubuque\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Dubuque<\/a>, premiered on May 7 with all 9 hour-long episodes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFollowing the show\u2019s premiere, there was a lot of buzz around M.I.A. It received an extra push from NBC with a special airing on the network on May 14. In a unique move, M.I.A. was one of the few shows that was set in Miami and was also shot there. Details regarding the reason for the cancellation are unknown. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn M.I.A., running drugs is a family affair for Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela). But when the family business is threatened, she is thrust into a life she never expected, forcing her to use her wits to survive as she navigates Miami\u2019s criminal underground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe cast also included Cary Elwes, Danay Garcia, Brittany Adebumola, Dylan Jackson, Alberto Guerra, Maurice Compte, Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tKaren Campbell served as the show\u2019s showrunner, writer (102), and executive producer. Alethea Jones directed the first two episodes of the series and executive produced. Additional directors and their episodes include: Gwyneth Horder-Payton\u00a0(103), Marizee Almas (104, 105), Ben Semanoff\u00a0\u00a0(106, 107), and John Dahl\u00a0(108, 109).
