An alleged trespasser was stopped by police on former Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019 property in Malibu, California, Friday, officials said. <\/p>\n
The individual entered the property, where Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, live Friday night, but was stopped by security personnel before they reached the house itself, Eduardo Negr\u00f3n, a spokesperson for Harris, said Saturday. <\/p>\n
\u201cVice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly,\u201d Negr\u00f3n added. <\/p>\n
The Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff\u2019s deputies responded to a suspicious person call at the residence at 10:30 p.m. Friday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department said in a statement. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhen deputies arrived they made contact with the private security detail on the property,\u201d the department said. \u201cThe individual who was outside of the property upon our arrival was warned and advised by deputies to leave the premises and left voluntarily without incident.\u201d <\/p>\n
The department added that a trespassing report was taken, but no arrests were made. The Malibu Lost Hills deputies will increase patrols in the area as a precaution, the department said.<\/p>\n
