The town of Spring Lake has issued a Boil Water Advisory for all customers on town water on Sunday. This will be in effect until further notice.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After routine water sampling, E-coli bacteria was found in the water supply in one sample. Other samples from the same water source were negative for the bacteria.<\/p>\n
As a precaution, everyone should boil their tap water before drinking it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Boiled or bottled water should be used for all consumption, including:<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDrinking, including pet waterPreparing food and beveragesMaking iceBrushing teethPreparing infant formulaWashing fruits and vegetablesWashing dishes and food-contact surfaces<\/p>\n
Bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute and allow it to cool before use. Any ice made with tap water since Sept. 8 should be discarded.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Be careful not to swallow any water while showering or bathing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
