Virgin Media presenter Muireann O’Connell has become one of Irish television’s most recognisable faces in recent years, fronting Ireland AM after leaving The Six O’Clock Show in 2021.<\/p>\n

Now according to her most recently filed accounts for her company, MOC Media Limited, her finances have been enjoying a similar upward trajectory.<\/p>\n

The accounts, filed with the Companies Registration Office, show the company posted a profit of \u20ac108,996 for the year, up on the \u20ac100,992 recorded in 2022. That brought retained earnings in the business to \u20ac276,850, with net assets climbing from \u20ac167,954 to \u20ac276,950 year-on-year.<\/p>\n

Her cash pile also grew steadily, with cash and cash equivalents rising from \u20ac203,950 to \u20ac295,208 over the twelve months.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company paid corporation tax of \u20ac15,642 on the year, up slightly from \u20ac14,539 the previous year, while O’Connell’s remuneration through the company came to \u20ac46,013, a modest dip from \u20ac47,626 in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The boosted profits in tandem with broadcaster Muireann’s growth in profile and popularity with her star power growing since joining Virgin Media.<\/a><\/p>\n

Since she first stepped onto screen, Limerick native Muireann has built a reputation as one of the station’s most versatile presenters, equally at home anchoring breakfast television as she is hosting the evening magazine show, and increasingly in demand for podcasting and promotional work.<\/p>\n

Before her move to Virgin Media, O’Connell cut her teeth on local radio with Limerick’s Live 95FM and SPIN South West, before joining Today FM, giving her a broadcasting career that now spans well over a decade. <\/p>\n

These days she also co-hosts the popular podcast And Another Thing alongside comedian Emma Doran, adding another string to a bow that already covers television, radio and live presenting.<\/p>\n

Muireann has put her finances to good use, getting her first footing on the property ladder. O’Connell has spoken publicly about finally getting on the property ladder<\/a>, admitting the process was a long and often stressful one. <\/p>\n

She and her partner bought their first home together in Dublin, with O’Connell revealing she had struggled for years with not having a place to truly call her own, recalling that home had always meant her parents’ house in Limerick, not Dublin. <\/p>\n
