NYSP arrest man for homicide in connection to August death in Jay, NY<\/p>\n

A man has been arrested for homicide more than a month after a woman was found dead inside her Jay, NY home. <\/p>\n

New York State Police arrested Tucker J. Taylor on Sunday. <\/p>\n

The 48-year-old from Ausable Forks has been charged with Murder in the 2nd degree. <\/p>\n

It comes after police found a woman dead inside her residence at 150 Carey Road, back on Aug. 2. <\/p>\n

She has been identified as Patricia Lawrence, 54. <\/p>\n

An autopsy revealed Lawrence’s cause of death was severe hemorrhaging resulting from stab wounds to the neck and heart. The manner of death was determined to be homicide. <\/p>\n

Following an extensive investigation, police identified Taylor as a suspect. <\/p>\n

Police say he was taken into custody and processed at State Police in Plattsburgh without incident. <\/p>\n

Taylor was arraigned on Sunday, Sept. 13 and was ordered to be held without bail. <\/p>\n

He is set to reappear on Friday, Sept. 18, in the Town of Elizabethtown Court. <\/p>\n
