Blizzard finally announced Diablo IV<\/a> for the Switch 2 last week, and if you’re curious to know how it will look and run on Nintendo’s hybrid system, we’ve now got the official details.<\/p>\n

According to an FAQ on Blizzard’s forums, there’ll be two graphics settings in the Age of Hatred Collection<\/a> on Switch 2. This includes a “Quality Mode”, running at 1440p in docked, and “Performance Mode”, targeting 40fps across both modes. Here’s the full rundown:<\/p>\n

Diablo IV – Switch 2 Performance & Resolution
\nQuality Mode<\/p>\n

30 fps at 1080p in handheld mode
\n30 fps at 1440p in docked mode<\/p>\n

Performance Mode<\/p>\n

Handheld: 40 FPS at 1080p
\nDocked: 40 FPS at 1080p*<\/p>\n

*Docked Performance Mode requires a compatible display with a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher.<\/p>\n

Blizzard has also detailed some other features in the Switch 2 version of Diablo IV. This includes touch screen controls, mouse and keyboard support via USB, controller rumble, multiple accessibility features, and GameChat support.<\/p>\n

And if you’re an existing player, you can also continue your adventure with cross-progression. You’ll need to link your Battle.net account<\/a> for this.<\/p>\n

Cross-play is also supported, and purchases across systems carry over. Blizzard has also clarified you can play without a Switch Online Membership, but you’ll still need an internet connection:<\/p>\n

Without a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can still experience:<\/p>\n

– The campaign and side quests
– Open-world activities
– Couch co-op
– The Tower and Leaderboards
– Seasonal Ranks and season content<\/p>\n

Diablo IV is an online game, so an internet connection is still required. Without a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you will not be able to join an online party, trade with other players, join a Clan, participate in PvP or encounter other players in the open world.<\/p>\n
