With a short week ahead, practices leading up to the game will be a bit different for both teams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">As with most teams preparing for a Thursday game, the Lions will significantly scale back their practices leading up to the game. On Monday, they ran a walkthrough (and will probably stick with walkthroughs on Tuesday and Wednesday as well), so participation levels for this initial practice are only estimates based on what the coaching staff projects each player could have produced in a full practice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">With that in mind, let\u2019s take a look at Monday\u2019s injury report and get you up to date with what we know. Note: any changes from the most recent injury report will be bolded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">No changes here; all five players must miss, at a minimum, the first four games of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Estimated no practice on Monday<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Just 11 plays into the opener, starting left guard Mahogany fell while pulling on a run play. While on the move, he was tripped up and landed awkwardly, leaving for the remainder of the game. After the Lions\u2019 win, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prideofdetroit.com\/detroit-lions-injuries\/172720\/christian-mahogany-injury-update-detroit-lions-lg-carted-of-knee\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coach Dan Campbell told the media that initial tests were negative<\/a>, but additional testing was still needed. With a short week ahead, the Lions may need to turn to Be Bartch to fill in at left guard again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Miller didn\u2019t appear to suffer an injury in the game, but it\u2019s possible that his knee began to bother him after the game, and with a short week, this may be a proactive move. We should find out more at Campbell\u2019s press conference later today.<\/p>\n<p>Estimated limited practice<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Like with Miller, Scruggs\u2019 injury was previously unknown, and we will hopefully find out more from Campbell soon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Izien told the media last Friday that he felt good, but his Week 1 availability was up to the trainers. The Lions didn\u2019t play Izien against the Saints, but as Campbell previously alluded to, they were certainly considering it. An estimated full practice is a great sign that he could return to action this week.<\/p>\n<p>No longer on the injury report<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">The players listed in this section were on last week\u2019s injury report but have rehabilitated enough that they no longer need to be listed.
