{"id":849151,"date":"2026-09-15T23:50:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T23:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/849151\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T23:50:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T23:50:12","slug":"baltimore-police-deputy-commissioner-brian-nadeau-suspended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/849151\/","title":{"rendered":"Baltimore police deputy commissioner Brian Nadeau suspended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Baltimore police deputy commissioner Brian Nadeau suspended amid investigation, department says<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1789516212_532_c7be4295-b992-4557-aef8-4870353a04e1_1782155429.file.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" alt=\"Julian Nazario\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>BALTIMORE \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">Baltimore Police Deputy Commissioner Brian Nadeau has been suspended from his role amid an investigation, the department confirmed to WBAL-TV 11 News.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">In a statement, a spokesperson said the department was &#8220;aware of an investigation&#8221; involving allegations against Nadeau.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">&#8220;The Baltimore Police Department is aware of an investigation involving allegations made in reference to a member of our command staff,&#8221; a spokesperson said. &#8220;In accordance with BPD protocol, the members&#8217; police powers were suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">The spokesperson did not address the allegations against Nadeau involved.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">Nadeau has more than three decades of law enforcement experience, including at the local and federal level.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"5\">He was appointed as the Deputy Police Commissioner of the Public Integrity Bureau in September 2019 by then-BPD Commissioner Michael Harrison. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">Before serving in the Baltimore Police Department, Nadeau served in the FBI, where he led the FBI&#8217;s Public Corruption Unit from 2012 to 2015.
