(WDBJ) &#8211; Five towers that were part of the Salem skyline and the local radio landscape for more than 60 years came down Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They were located on property where the studios of 610 AM WSLC were located for decades.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">WSLC went silent last October, but in the 1960s it was a country music powerhouse here in the Roanoke Valley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">All five towers came down on Tuesday, making way for new development on the 39-acre site.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WDBJ.
