Ironically, that is who Ben Shelton<\/a> will now face for a spot in the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n What Ben Shelton keeps doing that\u2019s impressing Lindsay Davenport<\/p>\n Speaking about her compatriot on the Tennis Channel Live<\/a> podcast, Lindsay Davenport admitted that she had been left really impressed by Shelton\u2019s ability to not just keep playing, but to keep winning despite his huge workload.<\/p>\n She first admitted: \u201cIt\u2019s so hard when your start time can change by about 10 hours. You can be at 11 am, you can be at 9 pm, and you\u2019ve got to be able to handle all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n Davenport then honed in on what has stood out for her, continuing: \u201cWhat is impressing me most is coming off a title at a 1000 event, he has every right to say, \u201cAh, I\u2019m a little tired, ah, mentally drained. Oh, I\u2019ve got my title, I\u2019m gonna get ready for the open. You kind of mail it in.\u201d And he\u2019s doing the opposite.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHe now has the mindset of a top player. Nope, every tournament I play, every tournament that I show up with, I\u2019m going to look to win it. I\u2019m gonna look to do my best. He\u2019s not looking for the exit at all. <\/p>\n \u201cSign of a lot of maturity and growth, but also a mindset of, no, no, I believe I can win every tournament that I play. <\/p>\n \u201cLove to see that from Ben, he\u2019s fighting through the conditions.
