Whoopi Goldberg will be off \u201cThe View\u201d for two weeks to work on a new project.<\/p>\n
The actress, who has been on the ABC talk show for nearly 20 years, confirmed her upcoming absence on the \u201cBehind the Table\u201d podcast<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to lose you for a couple of days,\u201d producer Brian Teta said during the episode. \u201cYou\u2019re going to be gone over the next two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n Whoopi Goldberg (pictured above on Sept. 11) will be absent from \u201cThe View\u201d for two weeks. ABC via Getty Images<\/p>\n He clarified that Goldberg, 70, will be around on Mondays, with former co-hosts Lisa Ling, Star Jones, Sherri Shepherd and Debbie Matenopoulos\u00a0filling in the other days.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Joy Behar will moderate the Hot Topics roundtable along with the rest of her Season 30 crew<\/a> \u2014 Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin \u2014 while Winfrey films \u201cWomen Like Us.\u201d<\/p>\n The movie, produced by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, will also star Vivica A. Fox, Vanessa Williams and Jennifer Lewis.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s about change and getting older and having fun with your friends and people who get you,\u201d Goldberg gushed of the movie. \u201cIt\u2019s about finding your people. I\u2019m excited to do it. It\u2019ll be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Goldberg will, however, still be present on Mondays.
