(iStock)<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;Fatigue can be caused by numerous issues,&#8221; Dr. Earnest Lee Murray, a board-certified neurologist at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">While underlying hormonal, cardiac or neurological conditions can play a role, &#8220;a vast majority of fatigue people experience is probably related to <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_health_article_main-content_article-body_6_348562\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\/one-question-may-reveal-whether-your-body-getting-rest-needs-study-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">poor sleep quality<\/a> as well as psychosocial stress, which a lot of times go hand-in-hand.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_health_article_main-content_article-body_6_348563\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\/nighttime-bathroom-trips-reveal-hidden-health-issues-when-worry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">NIGHTTIME BATHROOM TRIPS COULD REVEAL HIDDEN HEALTH ISSUES \u2014 HERE&#8217;S WHEN TO WORRY<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Frequent fatigue is significantly more common among women (20%) than men (13%).<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">The data also shows that younger adults ages 18 to 34 reported the highest rates of frequent exhaustion at 19.5%, while adults 65 and older reported the lowest rate at 12.9%.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Fatigue also increases among lower-income households, residents in rural areas and those living in the South and Midwest.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teenage-girl-checking-smartphone-fox-news-001.jpeg\" alt=\"Teenage girl checking time on smartphone in bed at night\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Experts say constant interruptions and digital multitasking can leave people feeling mentally drained.
