Publisher Ubisoft<\/a> and developer Evil Empire<\/a> have released<\/a> the \u201cAnniversary\u201d update for The Rogue Prince of Persia<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The update adds the new Ice element, a new tool and weapon, new Arena challenges, complete difficulty and boss fight rebalancing, and more.<\/p>\n

Here are the details:<\/p>\n

Smoother Start and Flow<\/p>\n

Difficulty and pacing have been carefully tuned to deliver a far more satisfying challenge\u2014less frustration early on, and way more room for pure mastery over time (that sweet \u201cEasy to learn, hard to master\u201d motto!)<\/p>\n

The Wallrun Fix \u2013 Too many of you were cheesing General Berude with the Air Dash. (Okay, fine, that\u2019s partly on us). Now, we\u2019ve added mandatory wallrun sections to teach the flow.Vayu Power-Up \u2013 Wallrunning now actively fills your Vayu bar, rewarding you for staying stylishly airborne.Faster Pacing \u2013 Zagros and Aqueduct are compressed to cut down runback fatigue and get you to the action quicker.<\/p>\n

The Freeze Element (Granddad Approved)<\/p>\n

Once, while out fishing, my granddad adjusted his bucket hat and said: \u201cSon, no good rogue-lite ever lands without deep elemental interactions.\u201d Taking his wise angling advice to heart, we introduce Freeze:<\/p>\n

Freeze \u2018Em Solid \u2013 Stack it twice to freeze enemies completely, interrupting their attacks.Shatter and Synergies \u2013 The frozen state ends with a heavy damage burst. Enemies in water get double stacks, and a swift Kick instantly shatters them for tactical repositioning.<\/p>\n

New Gear, Stats Screen, Rebalancing, and Everything Else<\/p>\n

Run Stats Screen \u2013 Track your performance and runtime in the Oasis and at the end of successful runs.Weapon Affixes \u2013 Weapons now spawn with up to four affix slots (Bronze to Diamond) that you can reroll at Astara\u2019s Shop.Crit Nerf \u2013 Crit builds were scaling out of control, so we reined them in a bit (don\u2019t worry, new Critical Sharpener medallions are here to help).New Challenges \u2013 Chaotic \u201cSuspicious Chest\u201d combat arenas are all waiting.And a Massive Pile of Extras \u2013 Final boss rework (Nogai got scarier), mob density reworks, elites drops medallions and a mountain of quality-of-life fixes.<\/p>\n

The Rogue Prince of Persia is available now for PlayStation 5<\/a>, Switch 2<\/a>, Xbox Series<\/a>, Switch<\/a>, and PC<\/a> via Steam<\/a>, Epic Games Store<\/a>, and Ubisoft Store<\/a>.<\/p>\n
