These capabilities are integrated into everyday eyewear frames with built-in cameras, speakers and microphones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVive Eagle represents HTC\u2019s newest exploration in the realm of intelligent living and personal wearables,\u201d said Charles Huang, senior vice president of HTC. \u201cBy combining our pursuit of design excellence with expertise in immersive user experiences, this product is more than just a pair of glasses \u2014 it\u2019s a way to live life with greater freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>HTC\u2019s debut of the Eagle comes after Meta Platforms Inc. released its smart glasses with the AI-powered <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/siliconangle.com\/2025\/06\/20\/meta-debuts-ai-powered-oakley-meta-hstn-smart-glasses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Oakley Meta HSTN<\/a> that ship with their own built-in AI assistant in June. Similarly, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/siliconangle.com\/2025\/05\/22\/apple-reportedly-planning-launch-smart-glasses-late-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Apple Inc.<\/a> and <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/siliconangle.com\/2025\/05\/20\/google-debuts-android-xr-smart-glasses-will-bring-gemini-everyday-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Google LLC<\/a> have also outlined plans for AI-assisted intelligent eyewear.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Vive Eagle weighs under 49 grams, putting them on the heavy side of comfortable glasses. The frame houses all of its AI computing technology and voice interaction capabilities, including the battery, which enables up to 36 hours of standby time and around 4.5 hours of continuous music playback.<\/p>\n<p>Users can utilize magnetic fast charging to achieve up to 50% power in just 10 minutes. This feature allows users to quickly charge the glasses using a power bank or a phone.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagle is equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and an AI voice assistant that can connect to various AI chatbots, including OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT and Google\u2019s Gemini. <\/p>\n<p>Wearers can speak aloud and trigger the AI assistant in the glasses with \u201cHey Vive, take a photo,\u201d to capture what they see \u2014 allowing people to take pictures of anything they can see, including images of precious moments or photos of friends.<\/p>\n<p>People can use Vive Eagle\u2019s AI assistant to take notes, discover restaurant recommendations, deliver search results and provide commentary.<\/p>\n<p>The glasses also support real-time translation in 13 languages, allowing people to translate content captured by the camera into spoken audio without having to open an app or use a phone. Supported languages include English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Spanish and Japanese.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing growing demand for tech products that offer both functionality and a strong lifestyle aesthetic,\u201d said James Chang, president of luxury eyewear retailer 2020EYEhaus. \u201cVive Eagle brings together beautiful design and practical features.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Vive Eagle is currently only available in Taiwan. HTC has not revealed when, or if, it will bring the smart glasses to the U.S. or Europe. <\/p>\n<p>The smart glasses are priced at about $520.
