{"id":853031,"date":"2026-09-19T08:10:39","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T08:10:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/853031\/"},"modified":"2026-09-19T08:10:39","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T08:10:39","slug":"angry-robert-macintyre-admits-hes-fizzing-after-shooting-72-on-friday-at-the-bmw-pga-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/853031\/","title":{"rendered":"Angry Robert MacIntyre admits he&#8217;s &#8216;fizzing&#8217; after shooting 72 on Friday at the BMW PGA Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/profile.google.com\/cp\/Cg0vZy8xMWcxajNfc2h3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Follow us on Google Discover <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Robert MacIntyre produced one of the most topsy-turvy rounds you will ever see on day two of the BMW PGA Championship.<\/p>\n<p>MacIntyre posted a round of 68 on day one, but could only manage a 72 on day two, leaving him six back of the lead at the midway point of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old Scot made two eagles on Friday at Wentworth, one of which was a hole-out from 190 yards for a two on the par-four 15th hole.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/robert-macintyre\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"98810\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Robert MacIntyre<\/a> also made one birdie, three bogeys, and a double bogey before signing for a round of 72 on Friday at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/bmw-pga-championship\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"99139\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BMW PGA Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/robert-macintyre-accused-of-being-disrespectful-and-having-one-of-the-worst-attitudes-after-the-open\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MacIntyre has been criticized this season<\/a> for his poor attitude on the golf course.<\/p>\n<p>He has been involved in plenty of controversy, including his display of poor behavior during The Masters back in April.<\/p>\n<p>Angry Robert MacIntyre speaks after shooting 72 at the BMW PGA Championship<\/p>\n<p>MacIntyre was quite clearly unhappy during his round at Wentworth on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The frustrated Scot bemoaned the numerous poor shots that he hit, but he did manage to salvage a round of even-par in the end.<\/p>\n<p>When speaking to reporters, MacIntyre was asked to sum up his second round at the BMW PGA Championship.<\/p>\n<p>MORE ROBERT MACINTYRE STORIES<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, I probably had the unluckiest stretch of few holes and then the luckiest stretch of few holes. Yeah, I\u2019m actually fizzing right now but I have two days to fix it,\u201c the 30-year-old admitted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, I\u2019ve just got to try and find some positives. I don\u2019t know what else to say.
