A Boil Water Advisory is issued for the town of Salemburg.<\/p>\n
This is a precautionary measure due to a fluctuation in water pressure. The advisory was issued at 9 p.m. Friday. The town also posted to their Facebook around that time stating some residents were without water, and they were working to learn more about the widespread water outage.<\/p>\n
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice. Residents should not drink tap water without boiling it first. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute. The town said they are working to provide bottled water for those in need.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Boiled or bottled water should be used for all human and pet consumption, including:<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDrinking, including water given to petsPreparing food and beverages, including infant formula Making iceBrushing teethWashing fruits and vegetablesWashing dishes and food-contact surfaces<\/p>\n
Bathing and showering are considered safe as long as water is not swallowed. Children should be supervised while bathing to ensure no water is swallowed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
