Despite the dominant win, however, it was far from a perfect game for Clark and the Fever. Indiana led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter, but they ended the half ahead by only three points after allowing Toronto to come back.<\/p>\n

By the third quarter, the Tempo even took the lead four times as they kept the game close. Fortunately, a 24-12 fourth quarter allowed the Fever to pull away for good.<\/p>\n

After the game, Clark cited some of the issues she noticed during the game, which she said the Fever should address ahead of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

“I think for us, you know, limiting turnovers, limiting fouls, I felt like that was a big issue tonight,” Clark <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Clark pointed out that if they “would have cleaned up those areas and maybe even just cut it in half,” the Fever would have won much more comfortably.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“So, I think for us down the stretch, those three things are going to be most important,” Clark added.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To Clark’s point, the Fever committed 11 turnovers as a team and allowed the Tempo to score 15 points off those mistakes. Toronto also had 12 offensive rebounds and scored eight points in second-chance opportunities.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A “big issue,” as Clark mentioned, was Indiana’s fouling. They committed 21 fouls, which saw the Tempo attempt 30 free throws and make 19 out of them. Had Toronto been better from the charity stripe, Indiana would have been in much more trouble.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Clark, for her part, knows very well that she herself must address her shortcomings. She accounted for five of the team’s turnovers and even committed a Flagrant 1 foul<\/a> that gave their opponents extra free throws.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
