Alexis Hall<\/a> is back with the conclusion to the hit London Calling series.\n<\/p>\n Meet Father Material \u2014\u00a0the third and final book featuring lovers Luc O’Donnell and Oliver Blackwood, and their ever-evolving romance against the backdrop of Merry Old London. Hall tells PEOPLE it’s been a “genuine privilege” to know Luc and Oliver so long, and to see their story through multiple books.\n<\/p>\n Father Material by Alexis Hall.<\/p>\n Alexis Hall<\/p>\n “I never expected Boyfriend Material<\/a> to get a sequel because that\u2019s very rarely something genre romance even does,” Hall says. “So I certainly never expected to be able to write a whole trilogy of books about a developing relationship, two-thirds of which is about the bit that comes after the happy-ever-after.”\n<\/p>\n Fans first met opposites Luc and Oliver \u2014\u00a0a tangentially famous son of rockstars and a “nice and normal” barrister, respectively \u2014\u00a0in Boyfriend Material<\/a>, released in 2020. The pair strike up a fake relationship for the cameras, despite having nothing at all in common.\n<\/p>\n “But the thing about fake-dating is that it can feel a lot like real-dating,” the book’s synopsis reads. “And that\u2019s when you get used to someone. Start falling for them. Don\u2019t ever want to let them go.”\n<\/p>\n Two years after the events of the first book, Luc and Oliver are in love and happy against all odds.
