{"id":854331,"date":"2026-09-20T12:48:56","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T12:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/854331\/"},"modified":"2026-09-20T12:48:56","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T12:48:56","slug":"phoenix-groups-team-up-to-bring-health-care-hot-meals-to-those-in-need","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/854331\/","title":{"rendered":"Phoenix groups team up to bring health care, hot meals to those in need"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">PHOENIX (AZFamily) \u2014 A Phoenix-based outreach organization is partnering with a mobile medical clinic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spectrumhealthcare-group.com\/mobile-medical-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.spectrumhealthcare-group.com\/mobile-medical-services\/\">to bring health services directly to neighborhoods<\/a> across the city, including HIV testing and health education.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As Phoenix experiences another record-breaking summer, advocates said getting to a doctor\u2019s office can be a barrier for anyone without stable housing, reliable transportation, or air conditioning.<\/p>\n<p>A gap in access<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Spectrum Medical Care Center\u2019s mobile outreach clinic was built to address that gap. The mobile unit delivers HIV testing, PrEP consultations and sexual health education straight to Phoenix neighborhoods, community gatherings and heat relief sites. Rather than requiring underserved groups to travel through extreme heat, the clinic comes directly to them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For over a year, We Feed the People With Love has traveled across Phoenix delivering hot meals, cold water, fentanyl test strips and, if needed, Narcan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The organization is now partnering with Spectrum Medical Care Center\u2019s mobile outreach clinic to expand its outreach.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We feed the people with love\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Charisma Meadows, founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/wefeedthepeoplewithlove\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/wefeedthepeoplewithlove\/\">We Feed the People With Love<\/a>, said people experiencing homelessness are often overlooked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWith me working in the behavioral health field myself, I see it every day. People get looked over just because they\u2019re sleeping at the bus stop or because they may be looking like they did expose their self to substance use. But us, we feed the people with love. We just feed the people with love. There\u2019s no requirements. There\u2019s no questions asked.
