SUNRISE, Fla.\u202f\u2013\u202fFlorida\u00a0Panthers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager\u00a0Bill Zito\u00a0announced today\u00a0additions\u00a0to the club\u2019s hockey operations department for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n
The following staff\u00a0additions\u00a0have been announced:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Josef Boumedienne\u00a0will join the\u00a0club as\u00a0Vice President, Hockey Operations\u00a0<\/p>\n
Josh Burke\u00a0will join the\u00a0club\u00a0as Hockey Operations Data Engineer\u00a0<\/p>\n
Brooks Christensen\u00a0will join the club as an Amateur Scout\u00a0<\/p>\n
Killian Hamilton\u00a0will join the club as Strength and Conditioning Coach\u00a0<\/p>\n
Boumedienne joins the Panthers after serving as the general manager of Sweden\u2019s men\u2019s national ice hockey team for the past two seasons including at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina and 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. A former NHL defenseman with the New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay\u00a0Lightning\u00a0and Washington Capitals from 2001-02 to 2003-04,\u00a0Boumedienne\u00a0played 17 professional seasons in North America and Europe highlighted by two\u00a0Liiga\u00a0championships with\u00a0Karpat\u00a0in 2004-05 and 2006-07. Following his playing career, he joined the Columbus Blue Jackets as a European Scout in 2013 and rose to become their director of pro scouting before serving as an assistant coach in Columbus in 2023-24.\u00a0<\/p>\n
