Kate Beckinsale posted alarming messages on social media weeks after sharing a heartbreaking message about navigating post-traumatic stress disorder<\/a> (PTSD).<\/p>\n

\u201ccongratulations you won i give up,\u201d she wrote on her Instagram Stories Sunday atop a photo of a street and a rainbow.<\/p>\n

The \u201cUnderworld\u201d actress, 53, also posted the word<\/a> \u201cbye\u201d on Instagram. The comments were turned off on the post.<\/p>\n

Page Six has reached out to Beckinsale\u2019s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the \u201cPearl Harbor\u201d star opened up about her struggles with PTSD, a mental health condition that can develop after someone experiences or witnesses a terrifying or life-threatening event.<\/p>\n

In a now-deleted Instagram video, Beckinsale shared that people who \u201chave seen or experienced levels of horror, terror, violence\u201d cannot escape their traumas, but they should be recognized as \u201cheroes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of those people become incredibly good at masking it,\u201d she said in the clip. \u201cAnd it\u2019s sad because they become so good that they get no grace whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cUnderworld\u201d actress also wrote, \u201cbye.\u201d The comments were turned off on the post. katebeckinsale\/instagram<\/p>\n

The award-winning actress explained that though people with PTSD go about their everyday lives, they barely sleep because their dreams are \u201cfull of nightmares.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything \u2014 smells, sounds, thoughts, feelings \u2014 can trigger them into a place that is actually like hell,\u201d she shared, noting that since battling PTSD is \u201cinvisible,\u201d people should be \u201ckinder and gentler\u201d to others.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really is true that when you haven\u2019t walked a mile in someone\u2019s shoes \u2014 however fancy you think the shoes are \u2014 you have absolutely no idea what they might be carrying, masking, dealing with day and night,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

Beckinsale concluded her video by reiterating that PTSD victims \u201care the loneliest people\u201d who \u201ccontinue to try and put one foot in front of the other.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cSerendipity\u201d star has been candid about her struggles since her mother, Judy Loe, died in her arms<\/a> last July. Beckinsale also lost her stepfather<\/a>, Roy Battersby, in January 2024.<\/p>\n

While navigating a \u201creally hard year,\u201d<\/a> fans made negative comments about Beckinsale\u2019s apparent weight loss, prompting her to scrub all of her Instagram photos<\/a>.<\/p>\n
