{"id":854521,"date":"2026-09-20T17:00:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T17:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/854521\/"},"modified":"2026-09-20T17:00:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T17:00:15","slug":"11-year-old-boy-in-critical-condition-after-shooting-off-newburg-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/854521\/","title":{"rendered":"11-year-old boy in critical condition after shooting off Newburg Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two teens arrested in connection to shooting an 11-year-old in Watterson Park<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1ced0be7-90a9-459c-bc11-44661786e63e_1658958077.file.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" alt=\"Matthew Keck\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>LOUISVILLE, Ky. \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">LMPD is investigating after an 11-year-old boy was shot in the Watterson Park neighborhood Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">Police said the shooting happened around 7:11 p.m. in the 3500 block of Bluegrass Park Drive, which is off Newburg Road.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">Officers arrived and found the 11-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">LMPD announced two teenagers are in custody in connection to the shooting.
