\n\tAs Jeremy Strong<\/a> delivers his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg<\/a>, Aaron Sorkin<\/a> has shed some light on the method actor\u2019s process for this role.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Social Reckoning writer\/director was \u201cnot shocked\u201d that Strong didn\u2019t tell him about writing an email to Zuckerberg<\/a>, confirming that the Oscar-nominated actor stayed in character as the Meta founder and CEO between takes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJeremy does a lot of his own work. He does a tremendous amount of work before he shows up on your set,\u201d he explained to NYT\u2019s The Interview<\/a>. \u201cHe did not speak in his own voice on the set or walk the way Jeremy walks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSorkin continued, \u201cI told all the other actors in his scenes: \u2018Guys, he\u2019s not going to be hanging out with you at craft service. He\u2019s not going to be yucking it up with you between takes. He\u2019s probably not going to speak to you at all. He is going to treat you the way he imagines Mark treats the people around him.\u2019 And that\u2019s what happened. You cannot argue with the results.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStrong previously revealed that he emailed Zuckerberg<\/a> before making the film to tell him he takes \u201cthis responsibility very seriously, and the veracity of it seriously, and I\u2019m approaching it with respect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter The Social Network (2010) recounted Zuckerberg\u2019s creation of Facebook and the controversy that ensued, screenwriter Sorkin returned to write and direct the upcoming sequel, which premieres Oct. 9, focusing on a 2021 document leak that exposed harm Facebook caused on society.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn The Social Reckoning<\/a>, Facebook engineer Frances Haugen (Mikey Madison) goes to Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White) with the social media platform\u2019s most guarded secrets.
