The Washington Capitals<\/a> are officially back to business as they open the newly abbreviated NHL preseason with a game on the road against the Boston Bruins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sunday evening\u2019s matchup will feature a mixed Capitals lineup<\/a>, including some veteran mainstays, recent draft picks, and minor-league depth. The main highlights are the preseason debuts of three of the club\u2019s marquee offseason additions: star winger Alex Tuch<\/a>, former Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a> captain Boone Jenner<\/a>, and the hulking Vincent Desharnais<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Logan Thompson<\/a> is expected to get the start om net for the Capitals, with Mitchell Gibson<\/a> serving as his backup.<\/p>\n

The game will be broadcast on Monumental Sports Network 2 and NHL Network. Puck drop at TD Garden is set for 5 pm.<\/p>\n
