{"id":85562,"date":"2025-08-15T20:15:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T20:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/85562\/"},"modified":"2025-08-15T20:15:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T20:15:08","slug":"four-star-guard-lists-syracuse-basketball-among-his-top-5-finalists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/85562\/","title":{"rendered":"Four-star guard lists Syracuse basketball among his Top 5 finalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HHBCS2UNR5G25N66RWGZAMKDQU\">Syracuse, N.Y. \u2014Dakari Spear, a four-star shooting guard in the Class of 2026, has listed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/orangebasketball\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/orangebasketball\/\">Syracuse basketball<\/a> among his top five finalists. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"V5MHG52QQFHNHMLTUQTX5LVHJQ\">Spear, of Dallas Texas (Dynamic Prep), will also consider committing to Texas A&amp;M, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TiptonEdits\/status\/1956433756828402149\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TiptonEdits\/status\/1956433756828402149\">according to Rivals<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"XCZOJMX2LNHEJJGPOUBS2LM4DI\">Spear, listed at six-foot-four, is ranked as the 64th best overall prospect and ninth-best shooting guard in his class a<a href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/season\/2026-basketball\/recruitrankings\/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/season\/2026-basketball\/recruitrankings\/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool\">ccording to the 247 composite<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"YPUCQ5I6Y5ABHGXVL75KJVL4ME\">\u201cThey\u2019ve attacked me hard in my recruitment,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/news\/dakari-spear-down-to-5-schools-syracuse-texas-am-texas-tech-vanderbilt-virginia-tech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/news\/dakari-spear-down-to-5-schools-syracuse-texas-am-texas-tech-vanderbilt-virginia-tech\/\">Spear told Rivals<\/a>. \u201cI have a strong bond with the assistant coaches, head coach, and GM over there.
