\n\tMILAN \u2014 Donatella Versace <\/a>on Monday revealed that, under a joint venture with Revolve Group, <\/a>she will launch a new fashion and beauty business as its chief creative officer. The name of the brand and the first products, beginning in beauty, will be revealed in the coming months.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI believe creativity should be fearless, inclusive and alive in the world. I have always been inspired by the next generation, in music, film, art and, of course, fashion,\u201d stated the designer. \u201cThis partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRevolve<\/a> understands something I believe deeply: culture comes from connection. Together, we want to create that connection with a new voice, a new look and a new energy,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tLaunching initially across the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, the venture will pair the designer\u2019s creative direction, cultural influence and audience with Revolve<\/a>\u2019s technology, consumer intelligence, operating platform and direct relationship with millions of consumers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDonatella is one of the defining creative voices of our time. This partnership gives that vision an entirely new platform and the freedom to build something from the ground up,\u201d said Michael Mente, cofounder and co-chief executive officer of Revolve Group.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tMike Karanikolas, cofounder and co-CEO of the group, said that \u201cby combining Donatella\u2019s creative authority with Revolve\u2019s technology, infrastructure and global reach, we have an opportunity to create something genuinely distinctive \u2014 and build it for the long term.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRevolve Group was founded in 2003 and has been publicly listed in New York since 2019. It sells merchandise through two complementary segments, Revolve and Fwrd, offering premium apparel, footwear, accessories and beauty products from emerging, established and owned brands. Fwrd carries an assortment of curated and elevated well-known and emerging luxury brands.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ambition is to create a best-in-class product while building a digital-first world people can participate in, not simply buy from, stated Revolve.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile few details were available about what the new brand might look like, it may lean heavily on the aesthetic Donatella Versace<\/a> became famous for as designer of Versace and turned her into a global icon \u2014 a exuberant vibe that celebrated sexuality and a joy of life.<\/p>\n

\n\tRevolve\u2019s owned media and storytelling platforms include social franchises, podcasts and YouTube programming, as well as Revolve-owned IP events including Revolve Golf, the Revolve Festival and new future activations and business ventures previously seen through the company\u2019s joint venture with Cardi B<\/a> and creation of its new luxury fashion brand Revolve Los Angeles<\/a> with ambassador Bella Hadid. Revolve brands include Helsa and Camila Coelho.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn July, Gerona told WWD that she saw opportunities across the categories of beauty, apparel, wellness and consumer products.<\/p>\n

\n\tRevolve Group has achieved consistent double-digit net sales growth across its primary banners Revolve and Fwrd for three consecutive quarters leading into the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe e-tailer reported a strong financial footprint with $311.6 million in cash and cash equivalents and remains completely debt free heading into late 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn March last year, Donatella Versace was named chief brand ambassador of Versace, the fashion house she helped grow on her own for the past 28 years following the death of her brother Gianni.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2018, she reached a $2.1 billion deal to sell her family\u2019s company<\/a> to Michael Kors Holdings, which subsequently changed its name to Capri Holdings<\/a>. Prada<\/a> Group acquired Versace in April last year for an enterprise value of 1.25 billion euros.<\/p>\n

\n\tDonatella Versace has been fundamental in spearheading the Versace brand. In addition to her work as a designer, she has acquired A-list popularity on social media, and is widely recognized for her philanthropic work, her support of the marginalized and her initiatives to sustain the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. She has also supported young designers such as Christopher Kane, who designed Versus with her for years, Jonathan Anderson and Anthony Vaccarello, attending the latter\u2019s show for Saint Laurent on Tuesday night in Paris.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe was born in Reggio Calabria in southern Italy, the younger sister of Gianni and Santo. The company was founded in 1978 and, while Santo dealt with the business, Donatella started working beside Gianni and was also considered his muse.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe supervised campaigns by photographers such as Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Helmut Newton, and in 1994 she became head designer of Versus.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe helped build the brand by connecting luxury with the mood of the street, curious for novelty and leveraging a deep understanding of pop culture.<\/p>\n
