\n\tZelda Williams<\/a> is calling for fans to stop circulating AI-generated videos of her late father, Robin Williams<\/a>, nearly a year after<\/a> she last took to social media to ask them not to send her augmented content featuring the actor.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement posted to X<\/a> on Monday, the \u201cLisa Frankenstein\u201d director wrote that a \u201csupposedly \u2018private video\u2019\u201d circulating of her father \u201cis clearly AI, and not even particularly convincing AI,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnyone who claims to be a fan who believes it clearly listened to his movies on mute because that voice is robotic and terrible. That said, a human made a robot create it, and to you I say: leave him out of your delusional bullshit and let him rest. If you cannot make your case without making a dead man make it more convincing for you, then tell me: who\u2019s the one manipulating the public thru media now?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tZelda continued: \u201cI hate this cesspool of an app. It\u2019s mostly bots and people willingly being duped by bots at this point so not sure why I feel the need to come back to clarify, but I love him, so I will. Just because he\u2019s gone does not mean he\u2019s now your puppet. Have some shame.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe iconic comedian, who starred in films including \u201cJumanji,\u201d \u201cGood Will Hunting,\u201d \u201cDead Poets Society,\u201d \u201cHook,\u201d \u201cMrs. Doubtfire,\u201d and more, died in 2014 at the age of 63. In recent years, his likeness has become a popular target for AI recreation as users continue to create and share augmented videos of the actor.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis isn\u2019t the first time Zelda has voiced her feelings about AI; Back in Oct. 2025, she wrote \u201cPlease, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad\u201d on Instagram. \u201cStop believing I wanna see it or that I\u2019ll understand, I don\u2019t and I won\u2019t. If you\u2019re just trying to troll me, I\u2019ve seen way worse, I\u2019ll restrict and move on. But please, if you\u2019ve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It\u2019s dumb, it\u2019s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it\u2019s NOT what he\u2019d want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJust last month, she revived her father\u2019s Instagram account <\/a>with siblings Zak and Cody in an attempt to \u201cfight back against rampant AI abuse of his voice and likeness on here.\u201d<\/p>\n
