Bret Michaels<\/a> is getting back in the saddle, announcing his first shows since he was forced to cancel his tour earlier this year for health reasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Poison frontman has been through the mill over the course of 2026 so far, having been struck down by kidney stones and having to undergo surgery to remove them. <\/p>\n To this end, despite initially postponing his summer tour of the US as a temporary measure<\/a> and attempting a comeback at The Bowl at Sugar Hill in Georgia on August 21st, he was unable to resume touring long-term.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cDoctors and paramedics determined immediately after the show that he still needs additional rest and recovery from his recent surgeries. Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%,\u201d a statement said at the time, announcing that Michaels would be cancelling the rest of his 2026 dates.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n However, a few months\u2019 recuperation now seems to have put the musician\u2019s health back on the right track, as he has just announced five new dates, seeing him return to the stage earlier than expected. <\/p>\n Michaels will come back first for a show on October 16th in Portage, Indiana, which is a rescheduled date from his tour with Night Ranger, and was initially meant to take place on August 7th. <\/p>\n Thereafter, he will slowly return to more regular performing with four shows throughout the course of November, with two shows taking place on November 13th and 14th at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris, Michigan. <\/p>\n Michaels will then take to the stage on November 28th at the Northfield Park Racino near Cleveland, before rounding out his short run the following night at the Palace Theatre in Pittsburgh. <\/p>\n The Poison frontman won\u2019t be taking much more downtime, though, as he has also announced that he is set to appear on the Rock Legends cruise from Miami to Mexico from February 21st to 25th, 2027, alongside Foreigner, George Thorogood, and Collective Soul. <\/p>\n The new shows seem to signify that Michaels\u2019 health is finally looking up, with his kidney stones causing \u201cintense\u201d pain and complications due to his Type 1 Diabetes. <\/p>\n He will understandably be hoping that this fresh start will see him free of further issues for a while, after he also previously suffered a life-threatening brain haemorrhage and a related warning stroke in 2010.<\/p>\n
