Modder Andyalpa has unveiled a large-scale modification of Resident Evil 7 Reloaded VR, which significantly expands the horror experience’s interactivity in virtual reality headsets. The project aims to eliminate the compromises of the original versions and early custom builds, transforming the game into a fully-fledged native title for modern devices. The key innovation is full hand animation, allowing for gestures, fist clenching, and direct pointing at environmental objects.<\/p>\n

The gameplay system has undergone fundamental changes with the addition of manual weapon reloading. Players now need to manually feed rounds into the magazine, cycle the pistol’s bolt, reload the pump-action shotgun with a characteristic motion, and change the flamethrower’s tanks. Weapons now support two-handed grips to reduce recoil. All equipment is stored in physical holsters and slots on the character’s body, including the knife, pistol, heavy weapons, and first aid kits on the chest.<\/p>\n

The item collection system has also been converted to direct physical interaction: supplies, ammo, cards, and coins are picked up by hand and placed into the inventory by approaching the body. Opening the inventory menu is linked to Ethan’s wristwatch, and the flashlight is activated by touching the head with haptic feedback. The modification includes a special overlay that allows for detailed customization of zoom, recoil, vibration feedback, holster placement, and body display.<\/p>\n
