Real Madrid want a new La Liga president in light of what they called \u201cintolerable\u201d comments from the incumbent, Javier Tebas, \u2060who said on Tuesday that claims of officiating bias against the club belonged to \u201canother galaxy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Real\u2019s manager, Jos\u00e9 Mourinho, aimed sharp criticism at the referee, Miguel \u00c1ngel Ortiz \u2060Arias, and those who appointed him. Mourinho said his side could win the title \u201cif they \u200blet us compete on a level playing \u200cfield\u201d.<\/p>\n

He brought two printed screenshots of what he thought were red-card tackles committed by players to his post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

Tebas responded to a pro-Real article on social media with a lengthy riposte to allegations of a \u201cconspiracy\u201d against the 15-time European champions.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere they go again, the mouthpieces and the regime\u2019s television, building the same old narrative \u2013 the permanent conspiracy,\u201d said Tebas, who has often been at odds with Real Madrid and the club\u2019s outspoken president, Florentino P\u00e9rez.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis article goes further \u2013 it claims that referees harm \u2018the business that feeds them\u2019. What exactly is it asking for? Refereeing based on revenue, viewership, or the badge? What a way to understand equality in the competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cReal Madrid are crucial to La Liga<\/a>. But claiming that \u2018La Liga is worth nothing\u2019 without them reveals the disdain for the other clubs, their fans, and their history. The competition belongs to no one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Real responded with a statement on their website, saying: \u201cOur club considers it intolerable that the president of La Liga uses his institutional position to continue discrediting and attacking \u200bReal Madrid.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven this inappropriate and persistent behaviour, we believe that the professional football competition in Spain urgently needs a leader capable of managing it and realising its full potential with the fundamental duty of neutrality.\u201c<\/p>\n
