Presley Gerber\u2019s ex-girlfriend Lexi Wood referred to him as \u201cbrave\u201d in a touching ftribute after his tragic death<\/a> at the age of 27.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years,\u201d the \u201cSummer House\u201d star wrote via Instagram<\/a> Tuesday, alongside sweet photos with Gerber.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough every chapter and every version of our relationship, friendship was always at the core of it. Everyone who loved Presley and was loved by him knows he was one of the kindest, most open, loving and courageous people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years,\u201d the reality star (seen here with Gerber) wrote via Instagram Tuesday. Instagram\/@lexiwood<\/p>\n

Wood shared that the son of model Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber was \u201cloved so deeply\u201d and \u201cpurely,\u201d referring to him as \u201cincredibly romantic and thoughtful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was also incredibly resilient,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe fought so hard for his life and he was brave enough to be open about that fight. More than anything, he wanted to use his story to help other people, and he did.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TV personality described herself as \u201cso lucky to have shared so many years of friendship\u201d with Presley.<\/p>\n

Presley and Wood were friends prior to briefly dating in 2022.<\/p>\n

The following month, it was reported that the exes had called it quits once they realized their romance wasn\u2019t \u201clong-term,\u201d E! News previously reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Presley tragically died at a rehab facility<\/a> in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday after paramedics responded to a call <\/a>regarding\u00a0\u201ccardiac arrest\u201d and \u201coverdose,\u201d per a 911 dispatch call obtained by Page Six.<\/p>\n

Additionally, an insider told Page Six that Presley had\u00a0checked himself into rehab\u00a0<\/a>over the weekend, stating that \u201che knew he needed help.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to our source, Presley was \u201cstruggling with a lot of things\u201d and wanted \u201cso\u00a0badly to be free of his addictions<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a joint statement, his family asked \u201cfor privacy during this very difficult and painful time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Presley is also survived by his sister, Kaia Gerber.<\/p>\n
